Short Information – Applications are invited from meritorious Sports Persons for appointment as Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, Postman/Mail Guard and Multi Tasking Staff against the vacancies of Direct Quota reserved for Sport Quota Recruitment. Interested Candidates can read the notification carefully before submission of Application Form.

Age Limit-
Age for the Vacancies of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Postman/ Mail Guard:
Age – 18 to 27 years as on 31/07/2020
(Age relaxation for SC/ST-Ten years and for others Five years)
Age for the Vacancies of Multi Tasking Staff:
Age – 18 to 25 years as on 31/07/2020
(Age relaxation for SC/ST-Ten years and for others Five years)
Age Relaxation for Government Servants –
Upto 35 Years in case of Multi Tasking Staff.
Upto 40 Years in case of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant and Postman in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government.
Educational Qualifications-
Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant:-
- 10+2 Standard or 12th class pass from a recognized University /Board
- The candidates will be required to furnish Certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer training institute before issuance of appointment letter. Computer Training Certificates from Central Government/ State Government/ University I Boards etc., will also be acceptable for this purpose. This requirement of Basic Computer Knowledge Certificate is relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied Computer as a subject in matriculation or Class XII or Higher educational qualification and in such cases a separate Certificate will not be insisted upon.
Postman/ Mail Guard :-
- 12th Standard pass from a recognized Board
- Knowledge of local language (i.e.,Gujarati). The candidate should have studied local language(i.e., Gujarati) at least upto 10th standard.
- The candidates will be required to furnish Certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer training institute before issuance of appointment letter. Computer Training Certificates from Central Government/ State Government/ University/ Boards etc., will also be acceptable for this purpose. This requirement of Basic Computer Knowledge Certificate is relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied Computer as a subject in matriculation· or Class XII or Higher educational qualification and in such cases a separate Certificate will not be insisted upon.
- Candidates should have a valid license of two wheeler or light motor vehicle. Persons with Disability are exempted from the possession of license.
Multi Tasking Staff (Administrative offices/ Sub ordinate Office):-
- 10th standard pass from a recognized board.
- Knowledge of local language (i.e.,Gujarati). The candidate should have studied local language (i.e., Gujarati) at least upto 10th standard.
Pay Scale:-
Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant- Rs. 25500- 81100 (Level 4 in Pay Matrix)
Postman/ Mail Guard:- Rs. 21700-69100 (Level 3 in Pay Matrix)
Multi Tasking Staff:- Rs.18000-56900 (Level-1 in Pay Matrix)
Period of probation:- Two years
