Essential Qualification –
- Educational-
Master’s degree in Physics or Chemistry or Computer Science or Forensic Science with Physics or Chemistry or Forensic Science or Computer Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent*.
Note- * Equivalent qualification may be treated as NIL.
OR
B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering or MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science from a recognized university or equivalent**Note **Equivalent means B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology / Electronics & Communication Engineering / M.Sc. in Information Technology / Masters in Computer Application / Bachelor of Engineering in Electricals & Electronics / B.E. in Electronics & Instrumentation / M.Sc. in Cyber Security.
B. Experience-
3 years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the relevant field.Note1 Experience of Analytical methods/Research in the relevant field means experience in the field of identification of handwriting, typewriting, printing matters, analysis of Ink and other allied problems.
Note 2 The qualification(s) regarding experience is / are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, if at any stage of selection the UPSC is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification-
Doctorate degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
Pay Scale-
As per 7th CPC- Level-10 (Rs. 56100 – 177500/-) in the Pay Matrix. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56100/- plus DA as applicable per month.)
Age Limit-
Not exceeding 35 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Castes candidates as on normal closing date for vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. APPLICATION FEE-
(a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
(b) No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community. No “fee exemption” is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
